Description
The first parent respective childgroup begun in April 1998 and was finished in October 1998. The groups met totally 15 times, once a week and 1½ hour. In the parent group were four patients included with the diagnosis Schizophrenia/Paranoid Psychosis. The patients came from different countries but were swedish-speaking. The children were in their early teens.

The second parent respective childgroup begun in February 1999 and is brought to an end in May. The participants in the parent-group have the same diagnosis as in the first group and are mainly of foreign extraction. The children were 10-12 years old. Both parent-child groups have been having their sessions in the premises of the Psychosis Clinic synchronized in time but in different rooms.

The third parent-childgroup begun October 1999 and was completed in Mars 2000. The participating parents had the same diagnosis as in the previous groups, but their children were considerably younger in this one, 6-8 years old.

The content in the parent-groups is characterized by three main elements; one introducing pedagogic/ informative part, one working-group part, where the main point is childrens development, needs and cultural differences in the family perspective. In the third and concluding part the two first sectors are integrated and experiences in one´s own family/family of origin are seen in a three generation perspective.

The content in the childgroup is characterized by that in a playful way create a feeling of sharing your experiences with other children in the same situation. Through play and grouppractice strengthen the childrens self-esteem and ability to set limits to the surrounding world. Also this group contains a pedagogical/informative part that deals with psychotic illness.

Organization
The parent-child groups are arranged within the scope of respective principals regular activity. Research and development means have however been applied for the purpose of elaborating a manual for parentgroups.
